      At their meeting on August 8th 2007, the High Council discussed the inequality of gender selection in Clan Donald's appointment of High Commissioners and Deputy High Commissioners.

      With so many female officers doing excellent work for the Clan, we must ensure that all positions in the Clan are open to everyone. The High Council were unanimous in agreeing this issue and the Chamberlain was instructed to pass this information to all of the High Commissioners.
